Responsibilities:
- We provide support, administration, and maintenance for Linux server environments.
- We manage and support both SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- We deliver operational support across live, development, and test environments.
- We perform incident resolution, problem management, and root cause analysis.
- We implement, test, and deploy infrastructure changes in accordance with change management processes.
- We support infrastructure migration and transformation programmes.
- We develop, maintain, and enhance UNIX/Linux shell scripts to automate operational tasks.
- We work closely with project teams to deliver infrastructure improvements and technical solutions.
- We monitor system performance, availability, and security across the Linux estate.
- We produce and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and support guides.
- We participate in out-of-hours maintenance and project activities when required.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Engineer to join our specialist team, delivering both Managed Service and Project-based activities. This is a senior technical role supporting a complex Linux estate across live production, development, and test environments. The role is based in Telford for a duration of 6-9 months with possible extension, and the rate is up to £500 per day via an approved umbrella company. You must be willing and eligible to go through the SC Clearance process. There may be some out-of-hours activities required, and we encourage candidates to submit their CV at their earliest convenience.
